(2) Samuel had a granddaughter, Illa Wilson, who married Charles Henderson. A son of this couple, James Henderson, was a lawyer who moved to Texas. He was Lieutenant Governor of Texas under P. H. Bell. When Bell was elected to Congress James Henderson served as Governor, but was not elected to the governorship in the next election.
