George's sister, Mollie, had moved to Tarrant County in 1900, so he went out
to visit her and met the daughter of her neighbor Mr. George. After that he
came to visit his sister often, but she soon realized that it was Mr. George's
daughter that he was coming to see, not her. The post office was in Newark and
today the area is covered with water, not far from Fort Worth. George was a
farmer all of his life, and lived in Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado. He grew
apples as one crop in Colorado.
