Josie's father did not approve of Will as a son-in-law, so they planned to
elope. She hid her clothes in the grainary and got one of her shoes and one of
Belle's. They went to the Indian Territory, and her family missed her soon
after she slipped out. Her father got on his horse and went to his brother-in-
law George Wilson and said " That boy stole my girl and I'm going to kill him
the minute I lay eyes on him ". His brother-in-law told him he would not go
with him unless he left his gun. So he did, and they started off, but never
did overtake the elopers.

In 1689 the first official record of Issac Wilson's name. in 1690 he applied to Governor Robert Daniel for position as Chief Ranger of Perquimon County, VA. He was a member of the House of Burgesses in 1708, also, October 11, 1709 (Hath. 1, p.
3-4-454). (The first House of Burgesses in Virginia in 1619). Issac's will was dated July 13, 1714.
