The story is told of Alexander that one of his brothers was starting to Texas
and that Alex was going to ride with him a bit, and that he did not even have
a coat on. Turned out, they just kept on riding, and this is how Alex ended
up in Texas.

Alexander received 320 acres of land as a settler in Grayson County, Texas, as
he was single. He later sold this land and moved to Montague County.

Alex hunded and tamed wild horses for trading. His neck was broken by a colt
that ran against a tight rope he was holding, and he only lived a few hours
