Josephine and Perry were married at the home of her aunt, Mrs. W.F. Cook,
in Big Springs, Texas. Perry did ranch work in Texas, New Mexico, and
Colorado. He went into construction work and worked in Idaho, Nevada, Oregon,
California and Washington. Evidently the west was his love. In November while
they were visiting in Texas, Perry made the good confession and was baptised
at the Howe, Texas Church on November 19, 1967. They were living in Arizona at
the time, and the work he was doing was not permanent. On April 9, 1968, Perry
and Josephine decided to make a prospecting trip into Northern Arizona. Their
trailer was at Bullhead, and they spent the night in Winslow, Arizona. The
next morning as they drove, a car with two men in it, hit the back of their
car rolling it over several times (they were in a Ford Falcon). The Highway
Patrol who investigated the accident reported that the driver went to sleep at
the wheel, and the other man was asleep in the back seat. Perry was killed
instantly, Josephine was unconscious. She was taken by ambulance to Holbrook,
Arizona, and here injuries were a broken collar bone, deep bruises, and her
left shoulder and arm were injured. She was in the hospital nearly three days
before she was able to make the trip back to Texas. A brother of Perry's form
Dickinson, N.D. and one from Amarillo and Niece of Perry's had arrived to take
her to Texas. Her brother Jerry had been notified. They took Josephine to
Sherman, making the trip in two days. Josephine ended up in Texarkana to make
her home with her brother Jerry and his wife Lucile.

Tom and Lula were married by T.B. McCombs, who was a well known preacher at
that time in Grayson and Collin counties. The best man was T.P. Ellis, and the
bridesmaid was Flora Helms. In 1890, Lee, the father, Tom and his brother
James, and brother in law W.J. Foster went to west Texas on a prospecting
trip. They all moved from Collin County. Tom settled near Lockney in Floyd
County, and lived in a half dugout at first and raised his family there. The
others soon moved back to Collin County, but Tom farmed and raised so stock.

Mary was sometimes called Mollie or Tude. There is little information on
Mary and her family. They moved to the state of Washington. It appears Nova
and Noel, her children, were twins. Last reports of her children were to
be said living in the states of Washington and Oregon.
